Large Greek Amphora Vase 60cm – Athena, Hercules & Achilles – White-Figure Pottery

Celebrate the gods and heroes of ancient Greece with this large handmade amphora vase, featuring Athena with Hercules on one side and Achilles riding a horse-drawn chariot on the other. Standing 60 cm tall, this decorative ceramic vessel brings Greek mythology and traditional pottery craftsmanship into your home.

Painted in white-figure style, the pale ivory and warm ochre details stand out against a dark, aged-looking background. Athena appears beside the seated Hercules, also known by his Greek name Heracles, while the reverse captures Achilles in his chariot. Additional depictions of Pegasus and Aphrodite decorate the neck, with flowing palmettes and floral borders completing the composition.

Each amphora is handmade in Greece, shaped on the potter’s wheel, kiln-fired, and individually painted by hand. Subtle differences in the brushwork and finish reflect the personal attention given to every piece.

With its tall handles, balanced proportions, and richly decorated surface, this Greek mythology vase makes an impressive centrepiece for an entrance hall, living room, or study. A distinctive addition to Hellenic decor and a thoughtful gift for admirers of classical art and ancient Greek legends.
