Greek Amphora Vase 80cm – Eros & Demeter Triptolemos – White-Figure Ceramic Art

Celebrate the storytelling tradition of ancient Greek pottery with this large handmade amphora featuring Eros and a reverse composition inspired by Demeter and Triptolemus. Standing approximately 80 cm (31.5 inches) tall, this decorative ceramic vase brings mythological imagery and classical elegance to your interior.

On the front, winged Eros approaches a seated woman holding a decorated box, while a smaller winged figure hovers above. Delicate outlines, flowing garments and expressive gestures bring movement to the scene. The reverse introduces the theme of Demeter and Triptolemus, with prominent ears of grain evoking the harvest and the cultivation of the earth.

Horse-and-rider motifs decorate the long neck, while floral patterns, leafy borders and geometric details frame the painted compositions. Pale figures with warm ivory and ochre tones contrast with the dark background, giving the white-figure decoration an aged appearance.

Hand-thrown, kiln-fired and hand-painted in our workshop in Athens, Greece, this amphora continues the family ceramic tradition of Ifigeneia Ceramics. Small variations in the painting and finish reflect the individual work behind each piece.

Its tall proportions, curved handles and pedestal base make it an impressive statement vase for an entrance hall, living room, study or collection of Greek art.
