This ceramic vase oinochoe (wine jug) is executed in the red‑figure tradition, echoing the aesthetics and storytelling of ancient Greek art.
Red-figure pottery, developed in Athens around 530 BCE, reversed black-figure technique: figures appeared red against a black background. It allowed greater detail, realism, and expression in Greek vase painting.
