Red-figure vase painting is one of the most important styles of figural Greek vase painting. It developed in Athens around 520 BC and remained in use until the late 3rd century BC.It replaced the previously dominant style of black figure vase painting within a few decades. Its modern name is based on the figural depictions in red colour on a black background, in contrast to the preceding black-figure style with black figures on a red background.

Fisrt side: Triptolemos with Demeter .In Greek mythology Triptolemus is a figure connected with the Goddess Demeter of the Eleysinian mysteres. He was either a mortal prince, the eldest son of King Celeus and Eleusis, or, according to Pseudo-Apollodoru, the son of Gaia and Oceanus.

Second side: Zephyrus.In ancient Greek lelegion and myth, winds were wind gods who were each ascribed a cardinal direction c from which their respective winds came , and were each associated with various seasons and weather conditions. They were the progeny of Eos and Astraeus or, Thyphoeus.
