Handcrafted in Greece, this museum‑style piece celebrates the joyous revelry of Dionysos, god of wine, and Ariadne, his divine consort. This ceramic plate (decorative display plate) is executed in the red‑figure tradition, echoing the aesthetics and storytelling of ancient Greek art.
Red-figure pottery, developed in Athens around 530 BCE, reversed black-figure technique: figures appeared red against a black background. It allowed greater detail, realism, and expression in Greek vase painting.
Technique:Handmade in Greece with traditional wheel-throwing, kiln-firing, and hand-painting techniques, this vessel reflects the timeless authenticity of ancient artistry.

The piece I received is beautiful and exactly what I hoped for!
