Corinthian Greek pottery was a prominent style in ancient Greece, flourishing between the 7th and 6th centuries BCE. Known for its detailed, miniature figures, featuring stylized animals such as lions, horses, and birds, reflecting the culture's fascination with nature. Using a light clay background with black and red decoration, Corinthian pottery played a key role in the development of later Greek ceramic styles, including Attic pottery.
A Greek volute krater is a type of ancient Greek pottery vessel characterized by its large size and distinctive shape, featuring prominent scroll-like handles (volutes) that curve outward from the body of the krater. These vessels were primarily used for mixing wine and water during symposia, or social gatherings.
Each piece is handmade and hand-painted in Greece using wheel-throwing, kiln-firing, and careful brushwork, so slight variations make every item unique.
