This terracotta relief represanting the 12 Olympian Ancient Greek Gods.In ancient Greek religion and mythology, the twelve Olympians are the major deities of the Greek pantheon, commonly considered to be Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, Aphrodite, Athena, Artemis, Apollo, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, and either Hestia or Dionysus.They were called Olympians because, according to tradition, they resided on Mount Olympus. Kiln-fired and hand-finished, it brings out clean contours and subtle shadows reminiscent of classical wall plaques.
Technique: terracotta (earthenware) clay is shaped, slowly dried, and kiln-fired, then hand-patinated for a warm, archaeological tone with gentle highlights.
